Danmark och Sverige: Två skilda världar
Danmark och Sverige, grannländer med likartade sjukvårdssystem, men oj så stora skillnaderna är när det gäller att få behandling i rimlig tid!
DANMARK
- Vanligast: 2-4 veckors förväntad väntetid till behandling/operation.
- Fritt val till alla sjukhus i landet.
- En myndighet (Sundhetsdatastyrelsen) som ger patienter och sjukvård öppen och transparent information om aktuella väntetider för 23 behandlingsområden och 100-tals diagnoser på samtliga offentliga och privata sjukhus och kliniker som ingår i det utvidgade fria sjukhusvalet i Danmark. Sundhetsdatastyrelsen publicerar även kvalitetsresultat på sidan www.esundhed.dk
SVERIGE 
- Vanligast: 13 veckors förväntad väntetid eller längre till behandling/operation.
- Inget fritt val av sjukhus.
- Ingen myndighet som informerar patienter och sjukvård med öppen och transparent information om väntetider.
Intresseorganisationen SKL som slipper offentlig insyn, har en väntetidsdatabas med selekterad information från ett fåtal utvalda diagnoser.
Sjukhusläkaren har jämfört förväntade väntetider till 10 vanliga diagnoser:

and pathetically. Yet the goverment still uses SKL to ”improve” this statistic. I do not think they can be trusted with reform. Keep fighting, please. The situation is barbaric. This may please Magdelena Andersson but it is morally unacceptable and reduces your EU ranking from #3 to #7, well on the way to Bulgaria.How did this ever happen?

Please, please do not stop until Sweden
n has waiting times the same as Denmark! It is too late for me so I must die early from the long waits here, exhausted from a long struggle to get help in time. But please protect this effort to save money at yhe ost of medical care for people over 60. They need two things:
1. Waiting tiimes as short as in Denmark.
2. A true allmänn läkare med utbildning och power over specialist treayment of her/his patient.
And preferabĺy, 3. An end to airplane doctors, whe are NOT substitutes for the real thing unless locared in the locality at least 50% of the time and full members of the relevant departments.
Waiting times are destroying me: 240 days to get a spinal stenosis operation that came too late and left me a cripple. Now what remains of me needs prostate radiation, but here on Gotland that takes an average of 200 days. By then it will have spread, too late for me. To me, Swedish healthcare is a barbaric deathtrap.
The simple, and real, reason is that, while this shortens the lives primarily of persons over 60, it saves huge amounts of money Sweden chooses to waste elsewhere. If the US spends too much per person on healthcare, Sweden spends far too little. Its silent profit comes from deaths that could easily have been prevented.
Denmark is a modern country, that recognizes and lives up to its humane duty. 6niquely in the EU, Sweden babbles about ” the Swedish model” while making money from withholding prompt treatment. A savage place.

Vore intressant med jämförelse hur stor andel av BNP i respektive land som går tillsjukvården. Och hur många vårdplatser i förhållande till befolkningen det finns.
